This was the first Spoonflower design challenge that I entered. Here is the prompt I was given:

"Prepare to be preppy for this week’s Design Challenge: Preppy Wallpaper. Take inspiration from the Grandmillennial and Coquette wallpaper trends – full of frills, bows, and vibrant botanicals in colorful palettes, paired with classic patterns like pinstripes and small-scale gingham.

Put some “prep” in your step to create a modernized design that uses bright pops of color combined with coastal, equestrian or golf-related elements, for example. Envision your design hanging on the walls of a Hamptons country club or private estate to fully capture this theme."

I created a few sketches and got to painting.
